The UK Government has now passed The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act, more widely known as Martyn’s Law, following the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. This landmark legislation places a legal duty on those responsible for publicly accessible locations to consider the threat of terrorism and take appropriate, proportionate protective measures. What Is Martyn’s Law? Martyn’s Law is named in honour of one of 22 victims of the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017. His mother, has been a vocal advocate for stronger security measures in public venues to prevent such tragedies. The law aims to make it a legal requirement for certain public spaces and venues to implement security measures to mitigate the risk of terrorism.  Read more on Martyn’s Law here. Who Does It Affect?
